Paul is in LA for good and will be a more regular fixture at UCBTLA. Be sure to check him out in these upcoming shows:

SEE CULTURE VULTURES -- THE UCB'S TOP POP CULTURE GAME SHOW
Have you ever wanted to be on a game show?... Here's your chance!

Culture Vultures is a fast-paced pop culture game show that combines elements of Jeopardy, Double Dare and Remote Control. Contestants battle together to see who knows more useless facts and trivia about everything from the Lost castaways to R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet." In addition to showing off their trivia prowess, every contestant also has to perform along side our sketch performers in specially designed performance challenges. When it's all over there will only be one true Culture Vulture.

6 people will be chosen from the audience! Plus prizes!

BEAST is a monthly show with a new theme each month.

Featuring: Paul Scheer, Jack McBrayer, Owen Burke and more!

  • BEAST presents: Culture Vultures

SEE MY SPACE AND LET UCB DECIDE IF YOUR PROFILE RULES OR SUCKS

Does your Myspace profile rule or suck?
How many friends do you have?
    Who is the weirdest one?
Have you ever gotten laid because of your profile?

These are just a few of the questions we ask in an interactive improv form where we examine the MySpace profiles of 3 different audience members and create long form scenes based on the information explored with them.

My Space. Your Space. Our Space.

Bring your screenname and see if you measure up!

Performed by the Gunslingers: Owen Burke, Chad Carter, Rob Huebel, Rob Riggle, and Paul Scheer

    Gothamist Interview

    posted by: nine28 in paulscheerfans

Paul was interviewed in a recent issue of Gothamist. You can read the whole thing (here). They even mentioned this community!

"How has the immense fame and popularity due to your snarky comments about celebrities and pop culture affected your life, other than a "Paul Scheer Fans" LiveJournal?

I can’t believe you’ve seen that Paul Scheer Fans LiveJournal. Someone just sent me the link to that the other day. The photo collage scares me a little but it’s so awesome and flattering that someone did that. Apparently I have a few Facebook Fan Clubs too; so yeah, things are going pretty good!

I’ve had offers to start a line of my own body sprays and lotions and as well as my own line of inflatable pools. I haven’t decided which to do yet. Right now I want to concentrate on my charity work, which is trying to find cute clothes for kittens. A lot of people don’t realize that kittens really need to be dressed up cutely. There are so many kittens that are lacking a little ballerina or pirate costume, and if I can help them with my tremendous fame than so be it.

The show has totally opened up doors for me in my career and given me the chance to be a part of a lot of really fun projects, but the coolest way the show has affected me is meeting all the fans. I’m constantly surprised at how many people watch the show and how diverse the fans are. A 15-year-old girl can stop you one day and be incredibly effusive; then you can get a similar reaction from a 45-year-old biker dude the next. I get recognized a lot in NYC on the street, and whenever I leave the city, it triples. I’m always surprised by it. It’s pretty insane! I get an a bunch of really great emails too, even a few marriage proposals, which I think would be awesome to just accept one to just to see what a disaster that would be. Then we could make it a hour long special on VH1 about it.

Basically I’m in this business for one thing, more MySpace Buddies!"

At the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles:

    VH1'S BEST WEEK EVER LIVE!
For two nights only, see Best Week Ever's top panelists slice and dice their way through the week's big stories in pop culture. They won't have the crutch of basic cable production values -- it's nothing but raw nerve and sharp wit live on stage.

    Hola Paul Scheer fans,

Here's a pic from the recent UCB Del Close Improv Marathon. This is from the show "Horatio Sanz and Friends". Paul performed and was amazing!

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I had the privelege of getting to interview him for my television program, "The Brad Montague Show". He was incredibly cool, very nice, and of course hilarious. Check my website, www.bradmontague.com, soon where we will have footage from the interview and more.

I LOVE my life. I know one other die-hard Paul Scheer fan in the world... my best friend who I converted to the righteous side.

All I have to say is that I IMed Mr. Scheer twice... that's right TWICE thereby solidifying my creepiness all the while loving my love.

The first time I feigned not knowing him saying he "was on my buddy list for some weird reason."

I don't condone these actions. They left me feeling weird, stalkerish and just sad. But I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I caught Paul in a SpikeTV/X-Box commerical.. he's being dragged around by an X-Box controller. No speaking lines though. Watch SpikeTV for a good hour and you'll find it, they tend to play the same commericals relentlessly. It doesnt scratch the surface of the genius that is Paul but it pays the bills.
